Where do the songs and audio files on SkreemR come from?
SkreemR is a search engine; none of the songs on SkreemR are hosted on our servers. SkreemR crawls the internet for audio tracks and then provides the information here for you to listen, download, or find out more about audio that you are interested in.
Unlike many so-called "mp3 search engines", SkreemR does not get its results from Google, or from scraping or stealing results from other mp3 search sites.
We have developed our own search technology for discovering mp3 files on the web and for presenting the results to you in the most useful way.
Only SkreemR consistently checks to make sure that mp3 files are in good working order, and only SkreemR uses AudioRank to put the best files first!
Do I need to install any software to use SkreemR?
No. You can simply use your web browser to find and listen to music that you are interested in. You don’t need to install anything and you don’t need to have any concerns about spy-ware, viruses or set up.
SkreemR returns so many search results that I can't find what I want!
By default, SkreemR will search for any of the keywords in the phrase you entered. It will then return the results ranked by relevance--sometimes a lot of them! You can use three operators to refine your search:
Exact phrase:
Use double quotes to pinpoint a set of words, ex. "my favorite song"
Essential words:
Use + operator to pinpoint particular words, ex. my favorite song +extended +remix
Excluded words:
Use - operator to eliminate unwanted results, ex. my favorite song -live
Sometimes I come across a song that doesn't play, what's up?
We go to a lot of trouble to make sure that links we index are current and working. Like all content on the internet, the links to audio files indexed by SkreemR are subject to change. If we’re doing our jobs well you will rarely get bad links.
Can I save a playlist of audio tracks?
At the moment, the best way to save audio tracks in a playlist is to use a program like Songbird. Or, you can save tracks in your facebook profile if you have a facebook account. Rest assured, we will continue to improve and expand our site's features to make SkreemR even better!
